Note from Radek Mazurkiewicz: My modifications are mostly in tempo settings and dynamic levels. I tried to duplicate those on the “historic” 1959 recording (digitally remastered on CD in 1997) by the Boston Pops Orchestra, Earl Wild, pianist, Arthur Fiedler, conductor. I’ve always considered it as the definitive recording, I guess because that recording was the first time I ever heard Rhapsody in Blue. All the others I’ve heard since then just haven’t seemed quite “right”. Another modification from the PDF document is a section that is repeated. The first and second time around are placed quite differently on the recording than on the PDF and I used the order on the recording. The only thing I couldn’t duplicate from the recording was another repeat/variation that was nowhere on the PDF. The 29 note glissando brillante (measure 404) is missing one 32nd note. Four septuplets (28 32nd notes) is the closest I could get. It goes by so fast anyway, I don’t think it’s noticeable. Measures 465-466 were added based on the recording.
