Pianometric is a free online tool that analyzes piano sheet music and gives you an objective difficulty score based on real musical data: note density, hand coordination, tempo, range, ornaments, and more.

What We Analyze

Each piece in our library is processed through our proprietary scoring system, which evaluates:

• Total note count and density per beat
• Left hand / right hand coordination complexity
• Note range and hand jumps
• Ornaments and embellishments
• Chord density and hand span requirements
• Scales, thumb crossings, and repeated patterns
• Dynamics and expressive range
• Estimated practice time to performance-ready level
